Above is our final poster for Hunt that I created on photoshop, but our group chose this without any audience feedback. To make sure we made the right choice, in our evaluation we shall gather audience feedback on which poster they prefer and why. This poster's predominant visual feature is the image, as its central placement takes up almost a third of the poster. However, the text is important as well. We wanted an audiences attention to be drawn to the date especially, so we made it the brightest colour - red. I am pleased with the colour scheme as I think it's simplicity works with the overall 'look' of it, as well as the dark colours connoting mystery and adding intrigue. The text is all bold, as we found with our research this is very common. Also, we wanted our title to be grey which is again very common across thriller films.
This is our other poster that we experimented on, changing certain features of the original poster. Most noticeably is the exclusion of the actor's names and then the darker overlay on the image. We then added a gradient over the title as well as a slight bevel/emboss to the three main texts. The website is more obvious on this poster compared to the first which is quite subtle.
This poster was created quickly so we could include it on our magazine cover. There is a black border on this one, so it doesn't merge in with the blogs white background.
